Payments moving to 365 days a year

Payments NZ have announced today that from 22 April 2023 365-day payments will be available in New Zealand.

This is great news for our members as it will mean that you will be able to receive as well as send payments between banks every day of the year! Payments NZ have said that "moving electronic payments (such as automatic payments, bill payments and direct credit payments) to 365 days a year will help meet evolving customer expectations." 

You will no longer need to wait until the next business day for a transaction to be completed if you make a payment on a weekend or public holiday.
