COVID updates
It's business as usual!
Alert Level 1
Well done NZ! We did it! From 11.59pm on Monday 08 June we move to Alert Level 1. This means that from Tuesday 09 June all our branches will be open to business as usual.
Alert Level 2
From 11.59pm on Wednesday 13 May New Zealand moves to Alert Level 2.
On Monday 18 May all of our branches will resume normal trading hours (9am-4.30pm), however, services will be limited to only those that can't be done online or through our call centre (depositing cash or putting a pin on your card).
During Alert Level 2 we will continue to maintain social distancing at all times and will be:
* Limiting the number of members who can enter the branch at any given time
* Maintaining a register of those visiting the branch for contact tracing purposes
* Asking all members to adhere to the social distance guidelines set in branch and sanitize hands prior to entering
We will have a concierge at each branch, please follow their instructions at all times.
Please continue to use our 24/7 banking products where possible and give us a call if you require further assistance.
Alert Level 3
All of our branches will remain closed as NZ moves to Alert Level 3 next week.
The safety of our members and staff is our priority, and we are using these additional weeks to get our branches ready with some physical changes to safely serve our members again under Alert Level 2.
Please continue to use our 24/7 banking products, or give us a call- we’re still here to help!
Alert Level 4
From 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March New Zealand moved to Alert Level 4.
At this level all New Zealanders are tasked with playing their part to eliminate transmission of COVID-19 and are instructed to stay home.
Under Alert Level 4 First Credit Union is classed as an essential business. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, members and the communities we serve we will be closing our branches to foot traffic.
The team at First Credit Union are committed to ensuring that our members are still able to operate their accounts, however, we will be doing this online via our 24/7 banking products such as mobile, phone and internet banking and with a team of local call centre staff.
Debit Cards
If you have a debit card you will be able to use your card to access cash from an ATM or you can withdraw cash at the time of doing an EFTPOS transaction.
If you DON'T have a debit card, give us a call, and one of our call centre officers will be able to help you.
24/7 Banking
First Credit Union has a range of products and services available that will give you 24/7 access to your account. To sign up for these services email us at welcome@firstcu.co.nz
To stay up to date with what First Credit Union is doing during this time make sure you are following us on Facebook.
Loan Applications
We are still able to accept loan applications, however, this will be done online as our branches will be closed.
